When exploring Dana Point Harbor, there are several convenient on-site parking options available. Please review the detailed guidelines below for the best access and experience for your next harbor outing.

2026 PARKING GUIDELINES

NEW Parking Structure – 799 Harbor Way

The brand-new parking structure at the corner of Golden Lantern and Dana Point Harbor Drive is open to the public offering 4 hours of free parking per vehicle, subject to availability.*

Daily parking rates are as follows:

• First 4 Hours – FREE
• Each Additional Hour – $6
• Daily Max – $24
• Lost Ticket – $24

*Special event rates may apply.

No tailgating is permitted. Rooftop access is limited to parked vehicles. Any designated BOATER PERMIT stalls are for registered Marina tenants only. Vehicles are subject to tow.

Rollerskating, skateboarding, use of motorized or electric bikes or scooters, bicycling, and use of similar devices are prohibited by Dana Point Municipal Code Section 4.02.012. Any violation is punishable by a fine of $25.00 for a first offense. Violators are also subject to a ban from the property.

Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching, and Catalina Express customers are required to park on the 3rd level of the parking structure. Surface lot parking is not allowed. Please contact these companies directly for more information.

Electric Vehicle Charging Now Available

ChargePoint EV charging stations are now available for guest use located within the 1st floor of the parking structure. Charging is available on a first come, first served basis and subject to availability. Vehicles exceeding 3 hours in a designated EV stall will incur a $5 surcharge.

Surface Lot Retail Parking: Restaurant & Retail Customers Only

Patrons of the harbor’s established restaurants and shops are welcome to park in the areas designated Retail Parking / Customer Only. These spaces are first come, first served and free while you are patronizing the harbor businesses for a maximum of 4 hours. Retail Parking is located at Mariner’s Village accessible via Golden Lantern or Casitas Place.

Overnight parking is strictly prohibited in all surface parking lots. Vehicles in violation are subject to tow.

General Public Parking – Free Options

These options are highly recommended for cyclists, dog walkers, and visitors alike.

• Free street parking may be found along Dana Point Harbor Drive east of Casitas Place and along Golden Lantern to the north of the harbor.
• Free public parking may also be found along Dana Way, near Dana Point Yacht Club, at Baby Beach, and off Cove Road.

Additional Public Parking – Paid Options

These options place you closest to the Wharf and typically have evening parking availability year-round.

• Puerto Place adjacent to Doheny State Beach is a great option offering paid parking at an hourly rate. Remember to pay at a pay station before you leave your vehicle.
• The Embarcadero also offers paid parking at a flat rate of $15 to be paid upon entry.

Marina Parking: Boater Permit Only

Boaters and boater guests are required to park in the designated gated and permitted lots only. The main lots are located both to the east and west of Mariner’s Village, as well as on the island. In addition, Boater Permit parking is available along the Wharf and inside the structure to accommodate East Basin slip holders while Phase 3 construction is underway.

Day Boater Parking is located off Embarcadero Place with direct access to the Public Boat Launch.

Overnight Parking

Overnight parking is restricted to Dana Point Marina Inn hotel guests, and Catalina Express customers only within designated approved zones. All others may be subject to tow.

Safety & Additional Information

For your safety, please adhere to all posted signage and guidance from harbor personnel. Security and dedicated parking attendants may also be available for your on-site assistance. Please note, all public parking is subject to availability and at your own risk.
