By visiting the Harbor, you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct. To ensure public safety and enjoyment for all guests, the following is strictly prohibited at Dana Point Harbor at all times:
- Defacing, damaging, or destroying any property belonging to the Harbor, its patrons, or its tenants, including writing, spraying, scratching, etching, stickering or otherwise affixing graffiti on such property.
- Removal of any plant or landscape material, furniture, fixtures, signage, lighting or other property belonging to the Harbor, its patrons, or its tenants.
- Blocking store entrances, the Harbor entrances, boardwalk, corridors, parking areas, fire exits, or elevators.
- Running, shouting, horseplay, fighting, throwing objects and disorderly or disruptive behavior of any kind or any act which could result in harm to a person or property.
- The use of obscene, abusive or defamatory language, gestures or slurs based on race, religion or sexual orientation. Verbal or physical threats.
- Soliciting, Loitering, Smoking, Littering, Tailgating, or Performing.
- Fishing from the boardwalk, docks or any small vessels inside the harbor. Fishing is allowed in designated fishing zones only.
- Jumping into the marina or harbor waters from any bridge, dock, sidewalk, boardwalk or other.
- Possession of anything defined as a weapon, even if legally owned, is not allowed, except by law enforcement officers.
- Unaccompanied minors after 7 p.m.
- Groups of four (4) or more minors may be dispersed. School truancy policies are strictly enforced.
- Any act defined by Federal, State, City ordinances, municipal codes or local statute as illegal.
- Riding bicycles and e-bikes, skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, hovercrafts and segways in the Harbor Parking Structure and Commercial Core. All bicycles are to be secured in designated bike racks.
- The legal consumption of alcoholic beverages may only occur in designated areas. Possession of, or being under, the influence of any illegal substance is prohibited.
- Any photography, recording and/or filming, including use of a drone, require prior written consent of Harbor Management.
- Visiting the Harbor Commercial Core without shirt or shoes or failing to be fully clothed. Wearing clothing that is, or in a manner that is obscene, offensive to others, that may provoke a disturbance, or is otherwise inconsistent with a first-class, family-oriented Harbor.
All visitors are required to leave the common areas of the Harbor once the property closes for business each evening.
To provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment, we ask all guests and employees to comply with the code of conduct above. Be respectful of all Harbor facilities, property, staff and visitors. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the Harbor can result in expulsion from the property and possible prosecution for trespassing (California Penal Code Section 602.1).
